Although less people are getting severely ill from COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are still in the middle of a pandemic.  The following is our protocol to keep our clients and staff safe (amended on 1/11/2023).  

The client and the patient will be escorted to the exam room immediately after:

a.   The clients show that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID 19 (2 weeks have passed after the second vaccine for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and 2 weeks have passed after a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
b.  Temperature of the client is less than 100 
c.  Answered no to all of the following questions:

  1. Have you experienced any symptoms of COIVD-19, including a fever of 100.0 degrees F or greater, a new cough, new loss of taste of smell or shortness of breath that started in the past 10 days?
  2. In the past 10 days, have you gotten a lab-confirmed positive result from a COVID-19 PCR test?
  3. To the best of your knowledge, in the past 10 days, have you been in close contact (within 6 feet for at least 10 minutes over a 24 hours period) with anyone who is currently diagnosed with COVID-19 or who has been told they have symptoms of COVID-19? 

*If the client does not satisfy b or c categories, we will ask you stay outside during the appointment.  If the client is not vaccinated, we will ask the client to wait in the lobby.  

Due to the fairly small size of the exam rooms, only one client per appointment will be allowed inside. Masks will be required of all clients entering the hospital. The same is required of our staff.

We have set up additional air filtration units in each exam room for additional safety.

Maximum of 4 clients are allowed at a time in the reception area.  If you see 4 clients in the lobby, please kindly wait outside and call our reception (212-706-4088) to notify of your arrival.

We are going to have to re-learn the process of safely allowing clients into the hospital so protocols will likely change and evolve over time.

Of course the curbside option will still be available to any clients who are uncomfortable coming inside.

We want to thank all of our clients for their patience and understanding over the past year and a half. It has been a real challenge for you, your pets and our staff as well!
