Robert Cleveland

Client Service Representative

Robert joins Hudson Animal Hospital with extensive experience in many facets of veterinary care. He joined the Westfield Veterinary Group and Wellness Center in Westfield, New Jersey in 1990. Soon after, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University with a concentration in Social Work. However, he realized his expertise and passion was in the field of veterinary medicine and became a trusted and valuable fixture at Westfield Veterinary Group for over twenty years. While there he augmented and solidified his skills in numerous areas including: client care, managing staff and technician’s duties. He also acted as a doctor’s liaison whose duties included facilitating communication between clients and doctors and coordinating appointments.

New Jersey’s loss is our gain as Robert now resides in Manhattan with his partner and their rescue Chihuahua Billy. They enjoy cycling throughout the city, traveling and the theater.

Alexis Duran, LVT

Veterinary Technician

Alexis was born and raised in New York City. She graduated from Manhattanville College in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree where she majored in Biology and minored in Sociology. In 2015, She graduated from SUNY Delhi with a AAS in Veterinary Technology and became licensed as a veterinary technician.

Alexis plans to achieve a Master’s Degree in Business and hopes to own an animal shelter. She enjoys spending her time with her family and friends, practicing photography, eating at restaurants, listening to music, and visiting Pennsylvania. She especially loves caring for her fur children, a German Shepherd and two Yorkies.

Sherrell Ryan, LVT

Veterinary Technician

Sherrell attended the State University of New York-Canton, where she received her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Science Technology and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. After graduation, she returned home and joined a local veterinary team which provided her with her initial hands on experience and also the application and enhancement of her veterinary medical knowledge. After working 6 years in Long Island, Sherrell had the desire to follow her dreams to NYC, where she found Hudson Animal Hospital. At Hudson, she found an environment where the staff has the patient's best interest at hand and are dedicated to making sure they are healthy and happy so she knew that she would fit right in. Sherrell has experience in dental therapy, anesthesia monitoring, veinpuncture, and radiology. She is also committed to making patients feel comfortable during office visits as well as forming and maintaining human-animal bond relationships. Outside of work, Sherrell loves dancing, acting, reading, watching classic movies, and spending time with her cat, Duma.

Wendy Garcia

Veterinary Assistant

Wendy is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn. She has always had a passion for all animals. After completing and graduating her course in Veterinary Assistance, she knew this was the career for her. She has past experience working in the animal field as well as working in customer service. 

Wendy continues to study. She hopes to further her education as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. 

Wendy lives at home with her husband and 2 sons. She also has two furry babies named Cotton and Lion. On her spare time, Wendy enjoys cooking, taking spinning classes, and traveling with her family.

Tomer Pesin

Kennel Assistant

Tomer is a Brooklyn native who loves being around animals. He is currently studying Biology at New York University and plans on graduating in May 2020. 

Tomer started at Hudson Animal Hospital as a summer volunteer in 2015 and officially joined the staff as a Kennel Assistant in June 2017. He hopes to apply to vet school after graduating. 

When Tomer's not studying or working, he enjoys listening to music, going to the movies, kayaking, and touching up on his Russian skills.
